2027: No Politician Can Defeat Tinubu – Bwala

Bwala

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala has expressed confident that no politician will win his principal in the 2027 presidential election.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Bwala said no politician in Nigeria has the capacity to unseat President Tinubu in the next electoral cycle.

“I have seen the political climate in Nigeria today, and I will speak to facts, not conjectures. There’s not a single politician who has the capacity to knock off President Bola Tinubu on all fronts,” he said.

In recent months, opposition figures including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Senate President David Mark have been exploring alliances aimed at removing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from power in 2027.

Calls have also emerged for former President Goodluck Jonathan to contest the presidency, although he has not publicly declared his position.

Bwala acknowledged Jonathan’s growing international profile since leaving office in 2015 but warned against a political comeback.

“Some unscrupulous elements are trying to hoodwink former President Goodluck Jonathan to come into politics so they can destroy the reputation he has been building after he left government by becoming an international figure globally.

“The elements that are going to him in the North, asking him to come and run, were they not the ones that chased him away? What hope does he have that this time round, are they calling him because they mean well for him?” he queried.

Bwala further argued that Tinubu has managed to secure support across both northern and southern regions of Nigeria, positioning him strongly for 2027.
