Gianluigi Donnarumma says he is ready to embrace life in the Premier League after joining Manchester City from Paris Saint-Germain in a £30 million move on deadline day.

The 26-year-old, who won the Champions League and a fourth Ligue 1 title last season, was told by PSG boss Luis Enrique that he was no longer first choice, paving the way for his switch to the Etihad.

Speaking after linking up with his new teammates, Donnarumma described City as “a club that has always fascinated me” and called the Premier League “the best league in the world.”

He added: “I hope I can repay the trust shown in me and make history here by winning as many trophies as possible.”
