The draw for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) was held on Monday at the Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, Morocco.
Nigeria’s Super Eagles were drawn into Group C alongside Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Host nation Morocco will headline Group A, facing Mali, Zambia, and Comoros in the tournament opener on December 21 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Group B will see record seven-time winners Egypt reignite their rivalry with South Africa, joined by Angola and Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, Senegal, the 2021 champions, will battle Botswana, DR Congo, and Benin in Group D.
Group E features Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, and Sudan, while holders Ivory Coast will face Cameroon, Mozambique, and Gabon in Group F.
Nigeria will kick off their quest for a fourth AFCON title on December 23 against Tanzania in Fez, followed by clashes with Tunisia on December 27 and Uganda on December 30.
The tournament will feature 24 teams across six groups, with the top two from each group and the four best third-placed teams advancing to the knockout stage.
