Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly set to leave Real Madrid following the Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 26, as questions over his future intensify after a crushing Champions League exit.
The veteran manager came under pressure after Los Blancos were eliminated by Arsenal in the quarter-finals, losing 2-1 at home and 5-1 on aggregate.
The defeat, which exposed key shortcomings in the squad, has only added to speculation that Ancelotti’s time at the Bernabéu is nearing its end.
Sources suggest the Italian will remain in charge for the Copa final in Seville, with the club hoping to end the season with silverware.
However, he is not expected to stay beyond that match and is unlikely to lead the team for El Clasico on May 11.
Ancelotti has won multiple trophies across two spells at Real, including the Champions League, La Liga, and Copa del Rey, but recent performances have fallen short of expectations.
With seven league games remaining, Madrid trail Barcelona by four points in the La Liga title race, making their hopes of a domestic double increasingly difficult.
