A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Makinde Araoye on Sunday convened a strategic meeting of party stakeholders in Ekiti South West Local Government Area, aimed at consolidating unity within the party and building momentum for future electoral victories.
The meeting, held in Ilawe-Ekiti, brought together a large number of APC leaders, grassroots mobilizers, ward executives, and delegates, who unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to the re-election bid of Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and pledged strong support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.
In attendance were several notable political figures, including Ekiti South West LG Chairman Richard Apolola; Oluwole Ariyo; former Special Adviser to the Governor on Social Investments, Yemisi Ayokunle; House of Assembly member representing Ekiti South West Constituency I, Hon. Tony Adaramodu; Tope Agidi; Fola Afolalu; State Party Exco Adedara Phillips; Chief Gbenga Agbona; Special Adviser to the Governor on Parliamentary Matters, Raphael Abiola Olowookere; LG APC Chairman Felix Olajide; Igbara-Odo/Ogotun LCDA Chairperson, Bose Arowolaju; Ogundana Benjamen; Olaluwoye; and SSA to the Governor, Tunji Amodi, among others.
Addressing the gathering, Araoye commended Governor Oyebanji for his outstanding performance in office, citing his achievements in infrastructure development, social welfare, and economic growth as proof of his commitment to the people of Ekiti State.
He assured attendees that the APC’s political structure in Ekiti South West will be fully mobilized to deliver resounding victory for Oyebanji in 2026 and for Tinubu in 2027.
Araoye further expressed unwavering support for President Tinubu’s ongoing economic reforms, describing them as “difficult but necessary steps” that will lay a solid foundation for Nigeria’s long-term prosperity.
He urged party members to embark on aggressive voter sensitization and ensure massive turnout for the forthcoming voter registration exercise across all wards, noting that grassroots mobilisation will be crucial to securing electoral success.
The meeting ended with a renewed sense of purpose and unity among APC stakeholders in the Local Government, with participants pledging to work together to maintain the party’s dominance in the area and deliver sweeping victories for both Governor Oyebanji and President Tinubu in the next election cycle.
