Arsenal produced a stunning second-leg turnaround to overcome Real Madrid 3-0 at the Emirates, erasing a 2-0 first-leg deficit and securing a spot in the Champions League semi-finals against Lyon.

Alessia Russo was the hero of the night, scoring twice while Mariona Caldentey added another in a dominant Gunners display.

Madrid, fresh off their first-ever Clasico win over Barcelona, struggled against Arsenal’s relentless pressure.

A crucial save from Daphne van Domselaar kept the tie within reach before the floodgates opened in the second half. Russo struck just seconds after the restart, sweeping home a Chloe Kelly cross.

Kelly then turned provider again, setting up Caldentey’s header to level the aggregate score. Russo’s acrobatic finish on the hour mark sealed Arsenal’s dramatic comeback, though her late strike for a hat-trick was ruled out for offside.

Meanwhile, Lyon delivered a commanding second-half performance to dismantle Bayern Munich 4-1, securing a 6-1 aggregate win.

Bayern had initially shocked the hosts by taking the lead through Klara Bühl, but Lyon responded emphatically after halftime.

Goals from Melchie Dumornay, Kadidiatou Diani, Tabitha Chawinga, and Ada Hegerberg put the tie out of reach, ensuring the eight-time champions remain favorites for another European crown.

With Arsenal and Lyon now set to clash in the last four, the stage is set for a high-stakes battle for a place in the final.
