Arsenal face concerns over Bukayo Saka’s fitness after the winger appeared to suffer a suspected hamstring injury during Saturday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

The England international started the match on the right wing, having been rested on the bench for Wednesday’s 3-2 EFL Cup quarter-final victory.

Saka quickly made an impact, providing an early cross that set up Gabriel Jesus for the opening goal, following his hat-trick performance in midweek.

However, midway through the first half, Saka appeared to injure himself after delivering a cross into the box. He was seen clutching the back of his thigh and signaling to the bench for assistance.

The 23-year-old stayed down near the corner flag as Arsenal continued their attack, with Jesus eventually kicking the ball out of play to allow for an assessment.

Saka was visibly frustrated and shook his head as he was attended to by the team’s physio before limping off the pitch.

He was replaced by Leandro Trossard, and the injury has raised doubts about his availability for Arsenal’s upcoming match against Ipswich Town on December 27.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is expected to provide an update on Saka’s condition following the match, with fans and staff anxiously awaiting further details.
