Bayern Munich bounced back from an early shock to demolish Shakhtar Donetsk 5-1 in their UEFA Champions League clash at the Veltins Arena on Tuesday night.
The match started in dramatic fashion, with Shakhtar’s Kevin taking an early lead just five minutes in.
However, Bayern quickly responded, leveling the score through Konrad Laimer.
Bayern gained momentum before halftime, with Thomas Muller putting them ahead after a well-timed pass from Jamal Musiala.
Despite a few strong Shakhtar chances, Bayern extended their lead with goals from Michael Olise, Musiala, and a final strike from Olise to seal the 5-1 victory.
The result keeps Bayern firmly in the top eight, while Shakhtar faces an uphill battle for a play-off spot.
