Bayern Munich have reached a breakthrough in their search for a new striker, with Nicolas Jackson giving his approval to a move from Chelsea.

The 24-year-old Senegal international has agreed personal terms with the Bundesliga champions, leaving Bayern to negotiate final loan details with the Premier League club.

Club legend Uli Hoeneß and the board had already signaled that a loan signing was the most realistic option for this window.

Jackson, under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2033, had been on Bayern’s radar earlier this month as an alternative to Nick Woltemade.

With the preferred target out of reach, the Rekordmeister have now turned decisively to the Chelsea forward.
