Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi, has spoken candidly about the challenges that come with her new life in the spotlight, admitting that the pressure to always look glamorous has been one of her biggest adjustments since leaving the house.
Speaking at a recent event, the Oyo State-born reality star shared that she has always preferred a natural and simple look but now feels compelled to maintain a polished image as a public figure.
“I would say having to wear makeup every time I go out, like to maybe an occasion like this, it’s not my thing generally,” she said. “I hate stuff on my face; I even hate hair on my body. I prefer to pack up and keep things simple. But because of what you’re trying to portray and how people should see you, you have to always have your hair, your makeup, your nails done. That’s something I really have to adjust to.”
Imisi emphasized that while she’s confident in her natural beauty, the expectations of fame demand constant effort to maintain a “camera-ready” appearance — a change she’s learning to embrace gradually.
In an emotional note of gratitude, she expressed appreciation to her loyal fanbase, the Imistars, as well as celebrities, Nigerians, and Africans who supported her throughout her BBNaija journey.
“You guys are wonderful,” she said. “To all the celebrities who came out for me, the Celestia Worldwide community, Nigerians, and Africans in general — thank you so much. God bless you.”
The reality star also gave a special shout-out to singer Adekunle Gold, whom she affectionately called her “big daddy,” praising his voice and charisma. “Adekunle is one of a kind. His voice is magical — thank you so much,” she added.
Imisi emerged winner of the 10/10 edition of Big Brother Naija, which featured 29 housemates over 10 weeks. Her victory earned her a ₦150 million grand prize, including ₦80 million in cash and a brand-new Innoson SUV.
