Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur will serve the final two matches of his seven-game ban after the Football Association rejected his appeal.

The midfielder was banned in November for using a racial slur about teammate Son Heung-min on TV.

While Spurs accepted the punishment, they appealed the severity of the suspension.

However, the appeal was dismissed, meaning Bentancur will miss upcoming matches against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup and Liverpool in the Premier League.

His ban does not apply to Europa League matches.
