Ghana controlled much of the first half and had their confidence got boosted by a crucial penalty save from goalkeeper Manaf Nurudeen. However, Angola remained persistent in their quest for an equalizer. Their efforts paid off in the second half when substitute Zini headed in the equalizer.
This 1-1 result marks a significant setback for the four-time champions, who have now managed just three victories in their last 16 matches.
