Controversial relationship therapist and social media influencer, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has debunked claims that her fiancé, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly called IVD, physically assaulted her.
The rumors surfaced after a now-deleted Instagram video went viral, showing Blessing in visible distress, pleading for help and expressing fear for her safety. Many social media users quickly linked the incident to IVD’s controversial history, including the 2022 death of his late wife, Bimbo Martins, amid domestic violence allegations.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Blessing CEO dismissed the allegations as “malicious lies” aimed at tarnishing her image and relationship.
“You all should bring proof that I was beaten,” she said. “IVD is someone’s son and brother. Why do you want me to lie against him that he beat me? Why do you people want to force me to accept a domestic violence that doesn’t exist?”
She clarified that the viral video was filmed during a robbery at their home, not a domestic violence episode. According to her, a male housekeeper allegedly stole valuables, and when IVD confronted him, the situation turned physical — but the altercation was strictly between the two men.
Recall that IVD was arrested in August 2025 at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, over an unresolved case related to his late wife’s death — which both he and Blessing have described as “persecution.”
Blessing and IVD’s relationship, which became public in early 2025, has been marked by frequent online controversy. Their engagement in April sparked backlash, with critics accusing the self-proclaimed relationship expert of hypocrisy given her previous stance against domestic violence.
In October, the couple also made headlines after a brief “breakup” announcement that was later revealed to be a social media publicity stunt.
