Bologna booked their place in the Supercoppa Italiana final after beating Inter Milan 3-2 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in Saudi Arabia.

Inter struck early through Marcus Thuram’s fine second-minute volley, but Bologna levelled before the break when Riccardo Orsolini converted a VAR-awarded penalty.

Both sides had chances to win it in normal time, with Bologna goalkeeper Federico Ravaglia making key saves to force the shootout.

Ravaglia then saved twice in the penalties as Ciro Immobile scored the decisive kick.

Bologna will face Napoli in Monday’s final after Antonio Conte’s side defeated AC Milan in the other semi-final.
