Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface is set to join Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr after Bayer Leverkusen agreed to a €60 million transfer deal.
The Nigerian forward will earn a net salary of €15 million per season.
Al Nassr finalized negotiations in just two days, viewing Boniface as the ideal attacking reinforcement alongside Cristiano Ronaldo following Anderson Talisca’s departure. Reports indicate the 24-year-old has already passed his medical.
Boniface was notably absent from Leverkusen’s training ahead of their Champions League clash with Sparta Prague.
The club cited “conversations with another club” as the reason, with manager Xabi Alonso confirming the situation.
His move marks a significant financial boost, increasing his earnings nearly fivefold from his current €3 million annual salary.
Leverkusen, having received €10 million above their initial asking price, now have six days to find a replacement before the transfer window closes.
