Breaking: Students, Staff Abducted in Niger as Terrorists Raid Catholic School

Tension has risen in Niger State after armed attackers stormed St. Mary’s School, a Catholic institution in the Papiri community of Agwara Local Government Area, and abducted an unconfirmed number of students and staff during a late-night attack.
Although details are still emerging, it is reported that several students were taken.
Families in the community are now waiting anxiously for official information.
A source in one of the Catholic churches in the state confirmed the incident and said the school is still working to determine the exact number of those missing.

When contacted, the Spokesperson for the Niger State Police Command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, said he would provide details later.

However, the Head of Department, Disaster and Relief, Agwara Local Government, Ahmed Abdullahi Rofia, confirmed the attack via telephone, revealing that the terrorists struck in the early hours of Friday morning.
