Nigeria international Brown Ideye made his first appearance for Enyimba as a late substitute in their goalless draw against Bendel Insurance on Tuesday in Aba during the Nigeria Premier Football League match.
Stanley Eguma also marked his managerial debut for the People’s Elephant in the fixture.
Ideye replaced Ifeanyi Ihemekwele with just four minutes left in regulation time, but his introduction could not inspire a breakthrough as Enyimba extended their winless streak to 10 games in all competitions.
The draw saw Enyimba climb from 11th to ninth place on the league table, while Bendel Insurance moved up two spots to 15th.
Both teams are set to meet again in the reverse fixture next month.
