Meanwhile, Arsenal will play their first leg against Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium, with the second leg unfolding at St James’ Park.
The draw has also sparked anticipation of a potential North London derby in the final, with Spurs and Arsenal vying for a chance to face off at Wembley.
The two rivals have never met in a major domestic final, though they have faced each other in four previous League Cup semi-finals, most recently in 2008.
The first legs are scheduled for the week commencing January 6th 2025, with the second legs following in the week starting February 3rd. Wembley Stadium will host the final on 16 March.
