A Copa Bolivia quarter-final between Club Blooming and Real Oruro exploded into mayhem after an all-out brawl forced police to intervene with pepper spray, leaving a remarkable 17 red cards issued.
The clash spiralled after an initial scuffle involving Blooming players and Oruro’s Sebastián Zeballos and Julio Vila.
Punches and kicks flew as players, substitutes and staff from both sides piled in, with Oruro coach Marcelo Robledo among those caught in the violence.
Oruro later shared a photo of Robledo in hospital, while Blooming reported that a member of their security team required surgery for a fractured cheekbone.
Seven Blooming players were dismissed, four Oruro players were sent off, and the remaining red cards went to backroom staff from both clubs.
Despite the chaos, Blooming progressed to the semi-finals 4–3 on aggregate and will face Club Bolívar next.
