CHELSEA COLLAPSE AS PSG DELIVER 8-2 AGGREGATE HAMMERING.
Paris Saint-Germain completed a crushing 8-2 aggregate victory over Chelsea with a
3-0 win at Stamford Bridge, sealing one of the Blues’ heaviest European defeats.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia struck early before Bradley Barcola doubled the lead inside
14 minutes, effectively killing the tie. Substitute Senny Mayulu added a third to cap a
dominant night.
Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior admitted the scale of the defeat hurt, saying, “I
understand… why fans are frustrated. They want us to win.” He added, “That was a
really difficult one to take because of the manner in which we went out.”
Despite creating chances through Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez, Chelsea were
repeatedly exposed on the counter as PSG’s clinical edge proved decisive.
The night worsened late on when Trevoh Chalobah was stretchered off with what
Rosenior described as having a “high ankle sprain,” leaving Chelsea to finish with 10 men.
PSG now marches into the quarter-finals ruthlessly, underlining their status as
European champions.
