The match kicked off with excitement as Dominic Solanke converted a dangerous cross from Brennan Johnson into an early goal just five minutes in, igniting celebrations among the Tottenham fans. Tottenham struck again in the 11th minute when Dejan Kulusevski found the bottom corner after skilfully manoeuvring into the penalty area.

Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella was involved in both early goals, slipping during Johnson’s setup and then struggling again before Kulusevski’s second goal, prompting him to change his boots in an attempt to regain his footing. However, Chelsea responded quickly, leveling the score in the 18th minute when Jadon Sancho, assisted by a lively Cucurella, delivered a precise shot into the corner, showcasing his talent as a Manchester United loanee.

As the first half drew to a close, Pape Sarr nearly added to Tottenham’s tally, hitting the crossbar just after a robust challenge from Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, which was deemed appropriate by the referee and VAR.

In the 59th minute, Chelsea was awarded a penalty after Yves Bissouma fouled Caicedo, and Palmer confidently converted to equalize. The Blues completed their comeback in the 74th minute when Enzo Fernandez scored from a half-volley, following impressive buildup play from Palmer.

Another penalty came in the 83rd minute when Sarr fouled Palmer, allowing the former Manchester City player to net his second penalty and secure all three points for Chelsea, reaffirming their status as serious title contenders this season.
