Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is expected to remain out of action until after the international break in late March, manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed.

The 22-year-old suffered an injury during the Blues’ 3-0 defeat to Brighton, adding to the club’s growing list of sidelined players.

“Noni [Madueke] will be out until the international break, probably,” Maresca stated, hinting that several other injured players are also unlikely to return before Chelsea’s crucial clash with Tottenham on April 2.

Among those still unavailable are Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu, Wesley Fofana, Benoît Badiashile, and Roméo Lavia.

“Probably after the break we can have back most of them, almost all of them. That for us can be a big boost,” Maresca added.

Madueke, who made his England debut last September and was part of the squad for the final two Nations League fixtures in November, will miss key matches leading up to the break.

The upcoming international window from March 21-24 will see England face Albania and Latvia in what will be Thomas Tuchel’s first games in charge.

Chelsea, currently level on points with fifth-placed Bournemouth, will look to cope with their injury setbacks as they take on Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday at 5:30 PM WAT.
