Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk has been provisionally suspended by the Football Association following an “adverse finding” in a routine drugs test.
The 23-year-old has denied any wrongdoing, stating the situation is a “complete shock” and that he has “never knowingly used any banned substances.”
Mudryk, who joined Chelsea in January 2023 for £88.5m from Shakhtar Donetsk, has missed the club’s last four games.
Both Mudryk and Chelsea are working with the FA to determine the cause of the test result.
Chelsea reiterated their full support for the FA’s testing program and stated they will not comment further on the matter.
Mudryk expressed hope for a resolution soon, promising more updates when permitted.
