Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Chika Ike celebrated her 40th birthday in a truly meaningful way — by empowering 40 less privileged women through her charity project, “Chika40Smiles.”
The star, known for her glamorous lifestyle and philanthropic spirit, revealed that she wanted this milestone birthday to be more impactful than lavish, channeling her celebration into an act of kindness that would uplift others.
Sharing highlights from the event, Chika described it as an emotional and joyful gathering filled with “laughter, tears, prayers, and dancing.”
“When I thought about celebrating my 40th birthday, I wanted something truly memorable and impactful,” she said. “The theme was Chika40Smiles because I wanted to empower 40 women and make them smile. It was important for me to do this at this point in my life. I’m a mom now, in a different space and season, and I wanted my celebration to reflect that.”
Chika expressed gratitude for the overwhelming success of the event, saying it “turned out even better” than she had imagined. Inspired by her late mother’s sacrifices and her own journey into motherhood, she emphasised the importance of giving back and spreading love.
She added with a laugh, “We had such a great time! I danced so much that my wig and shoes gave way!”
