Napoli manager Antonio Conte believes his team has proven their title credentials after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Serie A leaders, Inter Milan on Saturday.

The result keeps Napoli just one point behind Inter with 11 games remaining, ensuring they remain firmly in the Scudetto race.

Conte emphasized the psychological significance of the performance, saying, “This match was important not just for the standings but for our mentality. Being this close to the top should make us realize that, despite the challenges, we can fight for the title until the very end.”

Napoli trailed at halftime but salvaged a point thanks to a late Philip Billing goal. They dominated much of the second half, leaving Conte encouraged by their resilience.

“Inter are a top side, built over time and tough to beat. The fact that we stood up to them and, at times, were even superior must give us great confidence.”

The result was a much-needed response after last weekend’s disappointing 2-1 defeat at Como, a performance Conte admitted he struggled to accept.

“This should reinforce our belief. We need to decide whether we are the team that played today or the one that showed up in Como. Wanting success means working harder than the rest,” he added.

With the title race heating up, Conte insists Napoli must remain united and determined. “Our goal is to keep pushing and remain a threat until the very last game.”
