Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche was left fuming after a controversial corner led to Manchester United’s opener in a 2-2 draw at the City Ground, describing the decision as “farcical.”
The flashpoint came when Nicolo Savona appeared to prevent Bryan Mbeumo’s delivery from going out of play, only for assistant referee Akil Howson to signal that the ball had crossed the line.
From the resulting corner, Casemiro fired Ruben Amorim’s United ahead, a moment Dyche branded unacceptable.
“There has to be someone who overrides this decision,” Dyche said. “Two in two weeks is farcical. You might get one of those a season.”
Forest hit back after the break, with Morgan Gibbs-White and Savona scoring in quick succession to put the hosts in front and on the brink of a first victory under their new manager.
But Amad Diallo’s late strike salvaged a point for United, leaving Dyche frustrated by another costly refereeing call.
