The home-based Super Eagles have touched down in Uyo ahead of their decisive second-leg clash against Ghana’s Black Galaxies in the 2024 African Nations Championship qualifiers.

The squad returned from Accra on Monday after holding their Ghanaian rivals to a goalless draw in the first leg on Sunday.

Training resumed Tuesday night at the practice pitch of the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.

In preparation for the must-win encounter, interim head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has reinforced the team by recalling five players.

Among the new additions are forwards Samuel Ayanrinde (Shooting Stars) and Sunday Megwo (Abia Warriors), alongside midfielders Kazeem Ogunleye (Enugu Rangers), Vincent Temitope (Plateau United), and Badmus Gbadamosi (Kwara United).

The Super Eagles will aim to secure victory and a ticket to the CHAN tournament with a strong showing in front of their home crowd.
