Education Secretary Applauds One-Day Governor During her Visit to Imota LCDA
The Education Secretary of Ikorodu Local Government Education Authority, Alhaji Taiwo Abiodun Odumbo, joined the Imota LCDA Executive Chairman, Honourable Sunday Benson in receiving the Lagos State One-Day Governor, Miss Etiyemonu Esther, a student of Lagos State Model College, Igbokuta, alongside her Deputy, Miss Awoyemi Dorcas, and SSG, Miss Salami Jumai Olaide, during their official visit to the council secretariat.
Alhaji Odumbo commended the young leaders for their outstanding academic achievements, describing them as worthy ambassadors of Education District II and Lagos State. He emphasized that their success reflects Lagos State commitment to nurturing excellence, discipline, and responsible citizenship among students.

The Education Secretary noted that initiatives such as the One-Day Governor programme inspire future leaders by exposing them to governance and civic responsibility at an early stage. He reaffirmed the LGEA’s dedication to supporting educational advancement across Ikorodu Division, stressing that the strides of these students should motivate others to pursue academic distinction.
