Senate President Godswill Akpabio has congratulated Muslims in Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid-el-Maulud, urging them to emulate the virtues of Prophet Muhammad.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio said, “On behalf of the Senate, my family and constituents, I extend warm felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters as you celebrate the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). May this auspicious occasion bring peace, joy, and blessings to our great nation and the world at large.”
The Senate President prayed that the celebration would usher in “a new era of peace, prosperity and progress” for Nigeria.
He added, “As we commemorate the life and teachings of the Prophet, I urge you to draw inspiration from his virtues of harmony, love and service to humanity.”
