Leeds United boss Daniel Farke praised Dominic Calvert-Lewin after the striker continued his fine run of form with a late equaliser in a 1-1 Premier League draw away at Brentford.
Calvert-Lewin headed home Willy Gnonto’s cross eight minutes from time to cancel out Jordan Henderson’s opener, making it four goals in four games and five for the season.
Farke said the forward was delivering “on a weekly basis” and described him as “one of the best English strikers in this league”.
Henderson, 35, had earlier put Brentford ahead to become the club’s oldest Premier League goalscorer, scoring his first league goal since December 2021.
The midfielder said he felt “physically very good” and added that Brentford would “take the point and move on”.
Brentford boss Keith Andrews admitted frustration at failing to see the game out, saying Leeds were much improved after the break and shifted the momentum in their favour.
The draw leaves Brentford 14th on 20 points, while Leeds remain 17th, three points clear of the relegation zone.
