Less than 24 hours after announcing his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), former governorship aspirant Otunba Emmanuel Fayose held a meeting with Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
A political source from Ekiti, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that Fayose is already in advanced discussions about joining the ADC.
During the meeting, Aregbesola reportedly urged Fayose to make a swift decision and align with the ADC, assuring him that the party is ready to welcome influential grassroots leaders.
Fayose’s move comes just a day after he released a viral video describing the PDP as a “compromised party” and accusing its leadership of being “stooges of the ruling APC.”
His engagement with Aregbesola has intensified speculation that Fayose may soon pitch his tent with the ADC, as the party seeks to strengthen its position as a viable alternative ahead of the next general elections.
