Fenerbahce Sack Mourinho After Champions League Exit

Fenerbahce have dismissed Jose Mourinho following their failure to reach the league phase of the Champions League.

The 61-year-old Portuguese coach, appointed in June 2024, lasted just over a year in charge.

He guided the Istanbul side to a second-place finish in the Super Lig last season but fell short in Europe, losing to Benfica in this season’s play-off round.

That defeat proved decisive, with the club confirming on Friday that Mourinho had been relieved of his duties.
