Bruno Fernandes scored from the spot and set up Mason Mount as Manchester United drew 2-2 with Everton in Atlanta to claim the Premier League Summer Series crown on Sunday.

The result lifted the Red Devils to seven points from three games on their US tour, following victories over West Ham and Bournemouth.

Fernandes converted a 19th-minute penalty after Amad Diallo was fouled, but Everton responded through Iliman Ndiaye before halftime.

Mount restored United’s lead in the 69th minute with a curling finish from Fernandes’ assist, only for an Ayden Heaven own goal six minutes later to secure a draw for the Toffees.

The United captain reflected on a difficult period for the club after finishing 15th in last season’s Premier League, urging higher standards across the squad and facilities.

“The culture of this club was winning. It was there. And we need to bring back that,” Fernandes told Sky Sports.

New manager Ruben Amorim handed a first start to summer signing Bryan Mbeumo, while United’s preseason form offers optimism after a turbulent campaign that saw only 11 league wins.
