Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, met on Tuesday with Central Bank Governor Olayemi Cardoso and FIRS Chairman Dr. Zacch Adedeji to align fiscal and monetary policies.
The high-level meeting, held at the CBN headquarters in Abuja, focused on ensuring macroeconomic stability, boosting investor confidence, and driving private sector-led growth.
Edun stressed that strong policy coordination is key to President Bola Tinubu’s reform agenda, particularly in curbing inflation, improving revenue generation, and supporting credit flows to productive sectors.
Cardoso and Adedeji pledged full cooperation with the finance ministry to address economic challenges and position Nigeria as a leading investment destination.
The Ministry of Finance described the engagement as a demonstration of government’s commitment to coherent, unified policies aimed at building a stable and prosperous economy.
