FC Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has warned his players not to underestimate
Newcastle United ahead of their UEFA Champions League last-16 clash.
Barcelona travel to St James’ Park for Tuesday’s first leg as favourites, but Flick
believes the Premier League side remains a dangerous opponent.
“The Premier League is a great league. For me, it’s the best league in the world and
they have strong teams,” Flick said.
He also warned about Newcastle’s attacking threat on the break.
“They have very fast and outstanding players. We have to handle that and manage
it,” he added.
Flick stressed Barcelona must stay true to their style as they aim for a quarter-final
spot.
“We have to continue our way and our style. Our supporters are proud of how we
play, and we want to show that again,” he said.
