Nigeria’s Flying Eagles will face Colombia, Norway, and Saudi Arabia in Group F of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup following Thursday’s draw in Santiago, Chile.

The ceremony, held at Chilevisión’s Machasa Studios and conducted by FIFA’s Jaime Yarza with help from Argentine icon Juan Pablo Sorín, revealed a challenging path for the seven-time African champions.

The tournament kicks off later this year, September 27, across four Chilean cities, with the final scheduled for October 19 in Santiago.

For Nigeria, the clash against Saudi Arabia evokes memories of their 1989 group-stage win and the iconic “Dammam Miracle” against the Soviet Union.

Group F is one of the most balanced in the competition, featuring Colombia’s technical flair, Norway’s physicality, and a Saudi team seeking revenge after past heartbreak.

Six-time winners Argentina top Group D as they hunt their first title since 2007, while five-time champions Brazil anchor a heavyweight Group C alongside Spain, Mexico, and Morocco. Notably absent are defending champions Uruguay, who failed to qualify.

The top two teams from each group and four best third-placed finishers will move on to the Round of 16.
