Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace are heading to Wembley after securing dramatic FA Cup quarter-final victories on Saturday.
Forest ended their 34-year wait for an FA Cup semi-final appearance, edging Brighton & Hove Albion on penalties after a goalless draw at the Amex Stadium.
Goalkeeper Matz Sels was the hero, saving back-to-back spot-kicks from Jack Hinshelwood and Diego Gomez, while captain Ryan Yates slotted home the winning penalty.
Manager Nuno Espirito Santo hailed the achievement, calling it a “huge moment” for the club. “It was a dream seeing our fans like that. There is nothing better,” he said.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace brushed aside Fulham with a commanding 3-0 victory, inspired by Eberechi Eze.
The in-form midfielder, fresh off his first England goal, opened the scoring with a stunning long-range effort before setting up Ismaila Sarr just minutes later. Eddie Nketiah sealed the win with a late strike.
Palace boss Oliver Glasner praised Eze’s brilliance, calling his first goal a game-changer: “We were struggling at the start, but that first goal gave us belief.”
With both teams now just one win away from the final, Wembley awaits in what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to this year’s FA Cup.
