The Friedkin Group has officially completed its majority takeover of Everton, marking the end of Farhad Moshiri’s controversial ownership.
The £400m deal makes the Toffees the 10th Premier League club with majority American ownership.
The agreement, initially reached in September, was pending regulatory approval, which has now been granted.

Led by chairman Dan Friedkin, the Texas-based group also owns AS Roma and brings a wealth of experience with a net worth of £6.16bn.
Friedkin is set to become Everton’s board chairman, with Marc Watts taking the role of executive chairman to oversee the club’s day-to-day operations.
In a statement, Friedkin expressed pride in joining Everton’s historic legacy and promised to honor the club’s culture and community while driving positive change.
Everton, who have struggled in recent years, are currently 16th in the Premier League, and will face Chelsea at home on Sunday. Friedkin representatives are expected to attend the match.
