São Paulo have officially signed Oscar on a three-year contract, marking the midfielder’s return to his roots after an eight-year stint in Chinese football with Shanghai Port.
Club president Julio Casares confirmed the deal for the 33-year-old, who began his career at São Paulo before a controversial exit in 2010.
Oscar’s impressive career includes stints at Internacional, Chelsea, and Shanghai Port. He won two Premier League titles and the Europa League with Chelsea, and lifted multiple trophies in Brazil and China.
A key figure for Brazil’s national team, Oscar scored in the 2014 World Cup, including their sole goal in the infamous 7-1 loss to Germany.
Now back at São Paulo, he aims to add new chapters to his storied career.
