The management of the Federal University of Allied Health Sciences Enugu has reassured the public that all graduates of the former Federal College of Dental Technology and Therapy Enugu are fully qualified and licensed to practise in their respective healthcare fields.

The clarification was contained in a statement issued by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Kayode Taiwo, following concerns over delays in the mobilisation of graduates for the National Youth Service Corps.

According to the university, the delay has been largely caused by the institution’s recent transition from a college to a full-fledged university—an upgrade it described as a significant milestone achieved through academic excellence and strong leadership.

The management explained that, as a relatively new university, it is still concluding key administrative processes tied to its new status, which temporarily affected procedures such as NYSC mobilisation.

Despite the delay, FUAHSE assured affected graduates that the situation is being actively addressed, with measures already in place to resolve outstanding issues.

Reaffirming the credibility of its alumni, the institution emphasised that all graduates have been duly certified and licensed by relevant regulatory bodies, including the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria and the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria.

It noted that these certifications grant full professional recognition, enabling graduates to secure employment within the healthcare sector without any restrictions.

While acknowledging the importance of the NYSC scheme, the university urged graduates to remain patient, assuring them that mobilisation processes would be completed in due course.

FUAHSE also reiterated its commitment to maintaining high academic standards and strengthening its reputation in allied health sciences education, despite being barely two years old as a university.
