Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has acknowledged that his team no longer instills fear in opponents at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking ahead of their Premier League clash against Chelsea, Guardiola highlighted City’s struggles with ball retention, which he believes has been their main issue this season.

“Teams used to sit back when they came here, but now they press us man-to-man,” Guardiola said. “If we don’t handle the ball well, everything becomes difficult.”

The Spanish coach emphasized the need for improvement in possession to maintain their Champions League ambitions, urging his players to adapt to the growing pressure from opponents.

City will look to regain their dominance as they face Chelsea in a crucial showdown.
