Pep Guardiola insists Manchester City will not underestimate Plymouth Argyle as they prepare for their FA Cup clash. Facing a side that stunned Liverpool in the previous round, City are wary of falling into the same trap.

With the Premier League title slipping away, Guardiola’s men see the FA Cup as a crucial path to silverware. However, the City boss was quick to sidestep questions about La Liga president Javier Tebas’ complaint to the European Commission regarding alleged rule breaches.

Addressing Plymouth’s quality, Guardiola pointed to their shock win over Liverpool. “If you can beat the best team in the country this season, you are not unknown,” he said.

On the injury front, talented youngster Oscar Bobb is nearing a return, while new signing Vitor Reis is adapting well and could feature. Guardiola praised the Brazilian defender’s intelligence and long-term potential.

Pressed on City’s legal battles and the 115 charges looming in the Premier League, Guardiola remained reserved. “We wait, and after, we talk,” he said.

As for veteran stars like Kevin De Bruyne, Guardiola hinted at a future role for most senior players but admitted De Bruyne’s fate rests on discussions with the club. “Everyone with a contract for next season, I expect to be here—except Kevin, whose future will be decided by him and the club.”

With a tricky FA Cup tie ahead, Guardiola remains locked in on the task at hand—ensuring City don’t become the next big scalp in Plymouth’s dream run.
