Nollywood actress Bisola Badmus is celebrating her birthday with deep gratitude as she reflects on her recovery from a brain tumour diagnosed in 2022.

In an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday, the Yoruba movie star recounted how the illness nearly claimed everything she had, including her life, but said God’s mercy saw her through.

Badmus described the experience as harrowing — one she “would not wish even on an enemy.” She revealed that the diagnosis shook her world, leaving her drained financially and emotionally.

“It all started in 2022 when this illness came knocking. I thought it was a joke until I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. It took all I ever worked for; if not for God, it almost took my life,” she wrote.

Now hale and hearty, the actress expressed profound gratitude to God for restoration, healing, and renewed strength.

She also thanked her family, friends, colleagues, and everyone who supported her during the difficult period, with special appreciation to her son, Abdul Malik Olasunkanmi Ayinde Marshal, whom she praised for staying strong throughout her ordeal.

“Thank you my love, thank you for showing me how much I mean to you. May God grant me long life in sound health so I can take you around the world,” she added.

Badmus acknowledged that the journey was tough — with “a lot going down the drain” — but maintained that God replenished her in unexpected ways.

In her words, she is now “a living testimony that what God cannot do does not exist.”

The actress urged her fans to join her in thanking God as she marks another year of life and recovery.

Happy Birthday to Bisola Badmus, fondly called Abisola Adunni Adunbarinmatoshi.
