The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has called on Nigerians to support security agencies with timely information to help tackle insecurity across the country.
Director-General of the agency, Lanre Issa-Oniru, made the appeal at a one-day stakeholders’ engagement in Lafia on Friday.
Represented by NOA’s Director in Nasarawa, Augustine Akwe-Doma, he said, “Effective intelligence gathering is crucial in detecting and preventing potential threats. You stay in communities, so you must report the movements or activities of suspicious groups to relevant authorities.”
Issa-Oniru also cautioned students against risky “sign-out” celebrations during graduation, saying they often lead to avoidable accidents.
He further urged communities in flood-prone areas to heed NiMet predictions and relocate temporarily to safer places.
