Inter Keep Top Spot With Parma Win
Inter Milan claimed a sixth consecutive Serie A victory with a 2-0 win at Parma on Sunday,
extending their unbeaten streak against the Emilian side to eight league matches.
The Nerazzurri dominated from the start, with Lautaro Martínez heading narrowly over and
Yann Aurel Bisseck denied by a smart save.
Inter’s persistence paid off in the 42nd minute when a move involving Federico Dimarco and Pio
Esposito saw the wing-back slot home at the near post, giving Inter a 1-0 lead at half-time.
Despite foggy conditions, Inter pressed after the break but were initially frustrated by Parma’s
resilient defence. Petar Sucic had a chance after a Henrikh Mkhitaryan assist but failed to make
clean contact.
Ange-Yoan Bonny thought he had added a late second goal, only for VAR to rule it out for
handball. Moments later, Marcus Thuram scored to secure a 2-0 win and extend Inter’s lead at
the top of the table to four points.
Parma remain five points above the relegation zone but have now lost three of their last four
home league games.
