Inter Milan returned to the top of Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Lazio, extending their unbeaten run against the Biancocelesti to six matches.
Lautaro Martínez opened the scoring inside three minutes with a stunning first-time strike that rattled the underside of the crossbar before nestling into the net.
Inter dominated much of the first half, with Martínez and Petar Sucic both going close, though Lazio gradually grew into the contest as Mattia Zaccagni tested Yann Sommer.
After a quieter spell following the break, Cristian Chivu’s double substitution re-energised Inter, and the second goal arrived swiftly.
Federico Dimarco’s low cross found Ange-Yoan Bonny, who coolly slotted home to seal the points.
Piotr Zielinski later had a goal ruled out for handball in the buildup, while Sommer stood firm at the other end to preserve the clean sheet.
The win marked Inter’s 11th victory in their last 12 matches in all competitions and brought an end to Lazio’s six-game unbeaten streak, leaving the visitors ninth in the table.
