Turkish second-tier side Istanbulspor has dismissed reports linking Nigeria star
Victor Osimhen is in a potential takeover of the club.
Speculation emerged after Osimhen, currently at Galatasaray, revealed during a
livestream his ambition to invest in football and create a pathway for young Nigerian
players to Europe through a Turkish club.
However, Istanbulspor president Ecmel Faik Sarialioglu has clarified that no official
approach has been made, stating the club has received no concrete communication
from the striker or his representatives.
Osimhen had outlined plans to develop grassroots talent in Nigeria and link them to
Europe, but for now, any connection to Istanbulspor remains unconfirmed.
