Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has dismissed widespread rumours claiming she was arrested by the Nigerian police, describing the reports as nothing more than fake news.

In a TikTok live session, Ojo addressed her fans, condemning the viral “wanted posters” circulating online as deliberate attempts to mislead the public and drive traffic to certain platforms.

Expressing her frustration, the actress accused rumour peddlers of exploiting her name for engagement and financial gain. She warned that such actions carry consequences, especially when they cause unnecessary panic among her fans.

“To you all rumour mongers that spread fake news about me, it shall not be well with you,” she said. “Your fake news always makes my fans worried, and they start calling to check on me. You love to mention my name to pull traffic and make money. You are heaping curses on your head because I am a special being. Anyone that wishes me bad, it will go back to the sender.”

The actress urged her supporters to disregard the false reports, reaffirming that she has not been arrested.
