A graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan, Anikulapo has had a significant impact on Nigeria’s arts and culture sector for over four decades. He is well-known for his role as the former editor of The Guardian on Sunday and has served as the Arts Editor for the same publication for several years. At 62 years old, he continues to be a leading figure in cultural discourse, having founded the Culture Caucus Advocate (CCA) and serving as the Programme Chair of the Committee for Relevant Art (CORA). Anikulapo also directs the iRep International Documentary Film Festival, further showcasing his commitment to the creative arts.

Throughout his career, Anikulapo has been actively involved in various forms of media, performing on both radio and television, as well as participating in local and international theatrical productions. He played a crucial role in the Lagos Book & Art Festival, which he has convened since its inception in 1999.
