Popular Nigerian dancer and social media personality Jane Mena has expressed profound gratitude after her young son narrowly avoided a potentially serious accident at their home on December 24, 2025.
According to Mena, her one-year-old and ten-month-old son unexpectedly opened a room door and climbed a staircase while she briefly stepped into the bathroom to prepare his bath. The situation quickly turned tense when the toddler almost slipped, but was fortunately caught before any harm occurred.
Sharing details of the incident on social media, Mena revealed that she rushed out of the bathroom to rescue her son, despite currently nursing a broken leg. She described the moment as shocking, noting that her son had never attempted to climb the stairs before.
“I don’t know how God held up my son till he cried out,” she wrote, crediting divine intervention for preventing what could have been a tragic accident. She explained that she had locked both children in the room and left them playing before stepping away briefly, unaware that her son had learned how to open the door with ease.
The dancer said the experience left a lasting impression, adding that since the incident, her son frequently calls on her for help whenever he wants to go down the stairs. Reflecting on the scare, Mena admitted that while she can now laugh about it, the moment was terrifying, especially as she ran to catch her child without considering her still-healing injury.
Mena said she later asked her husband to retrieve the footage of the incident, describing it as a personal testimony of God’s protection. “I’m so grateful,” she wrote, offering prayers of thanksgiving and praise.
Her post has drawn reactions from fans and fellow celebrities, many of whom praised her quick response and shared messages of relief and gratitude over the child’s safety.
